  • Posted to ISSA LinkedIn: I agree, numbers seem a bit down from last year. However, I always learn so much at the ISSA seminars and trade shows. This year's speakers and seminars were great. The trade show is going well and I've learned a lot, as well as a lot about what changes our industry is going through and how to keep ahead. Bryan L., Owner, Bryco Services10/15/2009@1:15pm
  • I just had a rep already out to our plant to look at some problems where we need to clean concrete off of expensive equipment. The first supplier I met at the show was president of his company and said he could help. He called the local contact right on the spot and put me on the phone to set it up for this week. He even followed up personally this week to make sure they came out. That was worth the trip to ISSA, since we've been looking for months to find the right product. Andy B., genera10/15/2009@1:03pm
  • It was a great week!!! Charles, C., Service Provider, Kennesaw, GA10/15/2009@12:51pm
  • Posted to ISSA LinkedIn: Though attendance might seem a bit down this year, I am finding very solid opportunities this show. I am interested in finding out what you all think. Dan E., Area Manager, All Source10/15/2009@12:00pm
  • Posted to ISSA LinkedIn: Great show, downsized by comments I heard. I had great networking opportunities with others in the industry including manufacturers and reps. Best part was learning about CIMS at the ICE presentation. Awesome speakers! Anita O., President, Wilson Building Maintenance10/15/2009@10:37am
  • It was a good show, and the seminars I attended had good, substantive information. Brad F., purchaser, Palatine, IL10/15/2009@10:26am
  • I liked attending the convention in Chicago because of the networking. - Barbara F., In-house Service Provider, Milwaukee, WI10/13/2009@4:35pm
  • The product demonstrations in the Green Connections Center went very well. The Green Product Showcase was a great idea. It was much less intimidating than going to booths and having people talk to you. It was a great area to look, touch and obtain information on the products. - Jaclyn H., Exhibitor, Boise, ID10/13/2009@11:20am
  • I think this is a great show. It's unfortunate that more people aren't here investing in their industry. It has been absolutely worth it. I've been here since day 1 and will be here until the show closes because we obtain a lot of value from it. - Ed S., Distributor, Kalamazoo, MI10/13/2009@10:52am
  • I think the Green Connections Center went very well. We generated interest in our product line and obtained sales leads. Out of all the tradeshows, I think that Chicago is the most conducive for business. Chris T., Exhibitor, Cincinnati, OH10/13/2009@10:42am
  • This is my 27th show; it's a great show for distributors. The manufacturers that are not here...are missing out. It was a good show this year. Gary R., Distributor, Brooklyn, NY10/13/2009@10:31am
  • This is my first time here and I am obtaining very useful information. Kathy, In-house Service Provider, Orange City, FL10/13/2009@10:26am
  • This has been a fantastic show. The first time I walked around, I saw many new items. With the economy the way it is, we were very lucky: the first day, our booth was completely jammed. It was very worth it to attend. - Chris, Exhibitor, Chicago, IL10/13/2009@10:21am
  • I was pleasantly surprised with how well the tradeshow was attended, considering the economy. It was a very productive show and well worth it to attend. People like what's new so it's important for us to attend. I have definitely seen a lot of new things, and the speakers were very professional as always. - Dave, Exhibitor, Deerfield, IL10/13/2009@10:06am

  • The brightest idea I found so far this week is we need to become a CIMS-certified company. The speakers who hit home the most were our CIMS class instructors, David Frank and Jim Peduto. • Posted to ISSA LinkedIn: I have been in the business for just about 40 years and have seen marked changes during the years. Perhaps the most beneficial part of the show is, as others have mentioned, networking. Keeping relations fresh and up to date. I got to visit with a number of colleagues that "made my day". Some of the suppliers had new ideas. Many were just displaying the products in their catalog. Personally, having contractors and end users attend is a plus. - Terry Murphy, Sales Manager12/31/1969@1:00pm
